What is CIBA Startups?
CIBA Startups is a startup-focused community platform operated under CIBA Business Network. It brings founders, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, operators, students, professionals, and startup-minded people together through events, interviews, founder stories, articles, startup groups, and community programs.
The goal is to create a practical space for networking, visibility, education, and meaningful startup conversations.

Who is CIBA Startups for?
CIBA Startups is for founders, early-stage entrepreneurs, startup teams, investors, mentors, operators, students, professionals, and anyone interested in the startup ecosystem.
It is especially useful for people who want to attend startup events, meet other builders, share ideas, learn from the community, or become more involved in startup-related programs.
Is CIBA Startups affiliated with any accelerator or VC?
CIBA Startups is not a venture capital firm, investment adviser, broker-dealer, accelerator, or incubator unless a specific program clearly states otherwise.
CIBA Startups may help create networking, visibility, education, and community opportunities, but it does not guarantee funding, investment, partnerships, introductions, business results, media exposure, or acceptance into any program.
Newsletter
How do I subscribe to the newsletter?
You can subscribe by using the newsletter form on the CIBA Startups website. You will be asked to provide your first name, last name, and email address so we can send startup insights, event announcements, community updates, and related communications.
How do I unsubscribe?
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link included in applicable emails. You may also contact CIBA Startups directly at info@cibastartups.com.
Please note that unsubscribing from marketing emails may not stop administrative, transactional, legal, safety, event-related, or service-related communications where those messages are still permitted or necessary.
Is there a cost to subscribe?
No. There is currently no cost to subscribe to the CIBA Startups newsletter.
Events
How do I register for an event?
You can visit the Events page, choose the event you are interested in, and follow the registration instructions provided for that event. Some events may use CIBA Startups forms, Eventbrite, or another registration method.
Your registration may not be complete until all required steps are finished, including any required form, payment, confirmation, or event-specific approval process.
How do I complete my registration after paying on Eventbrite?
After completing payment on Eventbrite, follow any confirmation instructions provided by Eventbrite and CIBA Startups. Some events may require an additional CIBA Startups form, attendee information, application, or confirmation step.
Keep your Eventbrite confirmation email and check your inbox for any follow-up instructions before the event.
Can I cancel my registration?
Cancellation options may depend on the specific event, registration method, ticket type, and event terms. If you registered through Eventbrite or another third-party platform, you may need to manage your registration through that platform.

Are events free or paid?
Some CIBA Startups events may be free, while others may require payment, registration, approval, or an application. Event details, pricing, and requirements will be listed on the event page or registration platform when available.

What are Startup Groups?
Startup Groups are curated community groups organized around shared startup interests, industries, stages, or problem areas. They are designed to help founders, builders, investors, and startup-minded professionals connect around more focused topics.

How do I request to join a group?
You can visit the Startup Groups page, choose the group that best matches your interests, and follow the available instructions. If a direct request form is not available, you may contact CIBA Startups and explain which group you are interested in joining.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
How long does approval take?
Approval timing may vary depending on the group, available capacity, review process, and current activity level. CIBA Startups may review requests based on fit, completeness of information, community needs, and other practical considerations.
If your request is time-sensitive, you may contact CIBA Startups directly.
Can I be in multiple groups?
Yes, you may request to join more than one Startup Group if your interests or work are relevant to multiple areas. Approval may still depend on fit, capacity, and any group-specific requirements.
What happens if my request is rejected?
If your request is not approved, it does not necessarily mean you cannot participate in other CIBA Startups activities. You may still attend eligible events, subscribe to the newsletter, contact the team, or request to join a different group that better matches your interests.
CIBA Startups may accept, reject, delay, or reconsider group requests at its discretion.

I have a partnership proposal — who do I contact?
You can submit partnership or collaboration inquiries through the Contact Us page or by emailing info@cibastartups.com. Please include your name, organization, proposal summary, and the type of collaboration you are interested in.
Submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance, partnership, sponsorship, publication, or follow-up opportunity.
